平成時代 (Japanese) Heisei era (1989-2019)

The Heisei era is the period between the Showa era (1912-1926) and the Reiwa era (2019-). This era saw the rise of SM on the internet and the first sparks of the global kinbaku community as interest in kinbaku spread around the world.
