Summary

Masahiro Asada, Seiryou Ishikawa, and Furukawa Takashi joined Sanwa Publishing from the inactive Tsukasa Shobou, which Toen Shobou founded. Sanwa Publishing became active in the early 1980s. Sanwa Publishing released popular magazines such as SM Fan, SM Mania, SM Hisyousetsu, and Mania Club during the golden age of SM magazines. Chimuo Nureki, Go Arisue, Masato Marai, Norio Sugiura, and Shikou Shima published their works through Sanwa Publishing.

History

1974: Founds as a subsidiary of Toen Shoubou.

1974: Takes over the publication of SM Frontier from Tsukasa Shobou.

1976: Jul 8. The registered date of establishment.

1980: May. Publishes the first issue of SM Phoenix.

1982: Masahiro Asada, Seiryou, and Furukawa Takashi, previously at Tsukasa Shobou, become shareholders in Sanwa Publishing. Norio Sugiura publishes his major works through Sanwa Publishing. Chimuo Nureki and Go Arisue join as leading kinbakushi.

1982: Masato Marai joines.

1986: Jan. Mania Club is published as an additional issue of SM Mania, becomes a periodical, and continues to exist to the present.

1988: Chimuo Nureki and Go Arisue temporarily retire from Sanwa Publishing, and Masato Marai, as the main bondage master, teams up with Norio Sugiura. After that, Kenji Iwazuki becomes another temporary kinbakushi.

1993: May 12. Founds company “Media Boy.”

1994: Takashi Furukawa becomes independent and founds Eiwa Publishing with Yuji Fukue.

1999: Masahiro Asada, Yasunori Goto and Renji Ishibashi, founds Myway Publishing. The publication of SM Mania, SM Hisyousetsu, and Apple Photo Studio has been moved to Myway Publishing. At the same time, Hiroshi Yamada moves to Taiyoh Tosho and opens the Ichigaya Editorial Office.
