Fuzoku has two meanings relevant to SM play:

Fuzoku Soshi magazine. Aug 1953

1. The characteristic daily activities and customs of society, a region, or a class of people.

2. The sex industry and sex oriented entertainment. Also known as "Sex Fuzoku."

Fuzoku is often translated as Customs and Manners in the titles of Ukiyo-e works.
