1931: Oniroku Dan was born on April 16th to proprietors of the "Kinjoukan" movie house in Yonbanchou Dobashi in Hikone City, Shiga prefecture[1]. His father, Nobuyuki Kuroiwa, at one time aimed to be a screenwriter. His mother, Yukie Katori[2], was a former movie actress, and this was her second marriage.
